Who am I and What do I do?

By Andrea Warman

Front cover of Who am I and What do I do?

Price: £2.00

BAAF, 2007

Using foster carers’ own words and images to explore their role and identity, this short, colourful information booklet explores some of the key issues surrounding foster care.

It focuses on the lives and experiences of two foster carers – Susie who works in the independent sector and Rosamond who is a local authority carer – and examines what motivated them to begin fostering, the impact it has on their lives, what they like about it, what is more difficult and what keeps them going.

The personal words and images in the booklet provide powerful evidence of what it means to be a foster carer.
