Authors: Mary Lane
Mary Lane began her career as a social worker specialising in child care, adoption and fostering, and subsequently as a Children's Guardian and Reporting Officer. She qualified as a solicitor in 1994 and now has her own practice following seven years working in local authority legal departments. She is legal adviser to a voluntary adoption agency and an independent fostering agency and trains solicitors, CAFCASS officers and social workers in child care and adoption law.
