Private fostering England and Wales (2008)

This Advice Note is written for people considering becoming private foster carers, and provides guidance on what prospective carers need to know and do. The 2008 edition has been completely rewritten and expanded, and contains sections on the responsibilities of private foster carers, birth parents, and social services in such arrangements.
