If your child is being adopted (and you agree) (2008)

Aimed at birth parents who are giving up a baby or child for adoption, or who agree with the plan for adoption, this leaflet explains how adoption works, the roles, duties and responsibilities of all those involved, and points for birth parents to consider about how the adoption of their child may affect them now and in the future.
£1.00 plus 40p postage and packing.

Aimed at birth parents whose baby or child is being adopted and who disagree with the adoption plan, this leaflet explains how adoption works, the roles, duties and responsibilities of all those involved (including the birth parents’ rights to appeal), and points for birth parents to consider about how the adoption of their child may affect them now and in the future.

Aimed at birth parents whose baby or child is likely to be fostered, this leaflet explains how fostering works, the roles, duties and responsibilities of all those involved, and points for birth parents to consider about how the fostering of their child may affect them now and in the future, including contact while the child is living with foster parents, and what happens when the child returns home.

Child from the past (England & Wales, 2006)

Aimed at birth parents who placed a child for adoption many years ago, this leaflet considers the implications of the change in the law which gave adopted children the right to see their birth certificate at 18 in England & Wales
