My life in people – personalities line up for an evening with Nicky Campbell

Issued: 14 November 2006

This press release applies to England

Friday 24th November 2006, BBC White City, 6.30pm – 8.30pm

BBC presenter and broadcaster Nicky Campbell is to host a special gala night at BBC Television Centre in aid of the British Association for Adoption & Fostering (BAAF).

Nicky will be introducing a selection of personalities, including acclaimed photojournalist Nick Danziger, renowned comedian and Independent newspaper columnist Mark Steel, actress and singer Clare Grogan, former Olympic winning athlete Kriss Akabusi and actress and presenter Clare Gorham. All the guests, including Nicky, have a personal link with adoption or the care system.

The theme of the evening is ‘Who has made me what I am?’  Each guest will be asked to talk about the most influential people in their life: these could be both positive or even negative influences, living or dead, fictitious or historical.

This special event looks set to be an entertaining evening of conversation and discussion and some lively debate.  BAAF is delighted to be holding this event at BBC at White City, which has fabulous views across London and is a fantastic opportunity to be inside a venue not normally open to the general public.
