BAAF celebrates 25 years with 25 tandem skydives

Twenty five employees and supporters of the British Association for Adoption & Fostering will take the plunge in a parachuting event to mark the charity's 25th birthday.

The skydivers, who will jump from 10,000 feet, aim to raise more than £7,500 for BAAF - the UK's leading charity working for children separated from their birth families.

Audrey Cornelius, BAAF Fundraising Manager, says:

"I don't have a head for heights but have decided to go for it. My husband and I have recently been approved to adopt two children, so the work BAAF does really means a lot to me."

She added: "I want to thank everyone taking part. It's a great fundraising start to the next twenty five years of BAAF."

The money will contribute to BAAF's work, which includes finding permanent families for children, training professionals, publications, campaigning and awareness-raising.

The parachute jumps will all take place in Headcorn, Kent on Wednesday, September 7th.
