BAAF places great value on the support that we receive from charitable trusts and foundations.

Funds provided by trusts enable us to plan and implement innovative new projects as well as supporting our core activities. The Big Lottery Fund supported the start up costs of Be My Parent Online, our web-based family finding service that went live in May 2007, and our Fostering Education project is being funded by the KPMG Foundation, the SHINE Trust, the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and the Clore Duffield Foundation. This project will develop a training programme for foster carers that focuses on supporting primary school-age children in care to achieve their full potential at school. In our core work, there is an ongoing need for funding of advice, support, information and campaigning work. BAAF's Health Programme for children in care, for example, is currently supported by the Freemason's Grand Charity, The Steel Charitable Trust, the D'Oyly Carte Charitable Trust, The Welton Foundation and the Childwick Trust . These grants are supporting our ongoing work devising best practice and providing specialist health care advice and support for children in care. With thanks to the members of the Council of the Grand Charity and the Trustees of the respective trusts for their support.
