Volunteer Library Assistant

We regularly take on volunteers to help run the library and information service at our Head Office in London.
Duties would include cataloguing, shelving, checking in journals, scanning journals for relevant articles and providing summaries for a fortnightly current awareness bulletin, and helping with enquiries and library visitors.
Some previous experience of library work would be a benefit, but good IT skills are essential. The hours can be arranged to suit the volunteer (within normal office hours) but volunteers would be expected to work at least one day per week. Expenses will be covered.

If you are interested in being contacted when a vacancy comes up or just want to find out more, please contact: Katrina Wilson, Information Officer, BAAF, Saffron House, 6-10 Kirby Street, London EC1N 8TS Tel: 020 7421 2646, fax: 020 7421 2601, email: katrina.wilson@baaf.org.uk
