Black Minority Ethnic Perspectives Advisory Committee and support groups

The remit of the Committee is to advise BAAF, its member agencies and other child care agencies on matters relating to policy, practice, procedures and resources concerning the welfare of all ’looked after’ black minority ethnic children, their families and their communities.

The members of the Black Minority Ethnic Perspectives Advisory Committee are nominated representatives from BAAF's member agencies around the UK. The Committee meets quarterly and hosts an annual seminar.

The contact person for the Committee is Savita De Sousa, Black and Minority Ethnic Policy Adviser/Consultant, BAAF;
email: savita.desousa@baaf.org.uk;
