Flourish

Home > About us > Campaigns > Flourish

Artist Matthew FeatherFlourish is a response to looked-after artists voicing their frustration about the lack of opportunity to show their work. It celebrates their talents and hopes to develop their confidence about following a creative career. Flourish is run by an artist working within children and young people's services. It is the first national programme promoting the artwork of young people with such a diverse history of care. Artists may be looked-after by carers, fostered, adopted, in secure accommodation or have special needs. Flourish began in 2006 and has had an overwhelming response from artists, carers, family, keyworkers and teachers.

Flourish is pleased to announce that we are looking for new artwork by looked-after children and young people (up to the age of 25) from around the country. Initially this work will be shown in Liverpool in October as part of the national ADASS/ADCS conference, but we are looking at possibilities for showing it elsewhere after that.

To find out more about Flourish and to download application details, go to www.flourish-art.org.

Please note that unfortunately they cannot receive applications from artists who have been exhibited by Flourish before.
